Hoy es el primer Domingo de el Otono en Chile, debido a esto nuestros relojes deben retroceder una hora. Asi el horario de invierno a comenzado. Como cada Domingo, Mi esposo y Yo disfrutamos de "El cafe del dia" en Starbucks ubicado cerca de la playa en Vina del Mar. Generalmente comenzamos hablando de nuestra vida y futuro. Pero hoy fue diferente. Como siempre yo fui a tomar asiento en una de las mesas fuera del local, donde podemos fumar y disfrutar del aire libre y del sol. Mientras mi esposo fue a pedir nuestro cafe, una mujer se me acerco para pedirme dinero. Me asuste mucho y no supe que hacer. Entonces decidi tomar mi PC y mi cartera y comence a gritar el nombre de mi esposo. Finalmente la mujer se fue y mi esposo aparecio. Le dije en ese momento a mi esposo que me ensenara como manejar esta situacion en vez de gritar. Entonces el me enseno que dijera "dejame sola, no tengo dinero". Dicen que Chile es muy seguro, pero podemos ver mucha gente pidiendo dinero en todas partes. Ahora ya se como manejar esta situacion. Cuando sera mi oportunidad de usar este espanol que aprendi? Pronto o nunca.....?

A Different Sunday

Today is the first sunday of the fall season in Chile, therefore the time in our watches has to return one hour. So winter time is start. As every sunday, My husband and I enjoy "Coffee of the day" at Starbucks coffee which is located near the beach, Vina del Mar. Usually our conversation is starting about our life and future. But, today was different. I went to take a seat as usual in open area where we can smoke and also feel the fresh air and sun. While my husband went to order our coffee, one lady approached to me asking for money. I was so scare and did not know what to do. So I decided to take my small computer and my bag with me and start screaming my husband name. Finally the lady left and my husband appeared. So I asked to him to teach me how to handle this situation instead of scream. He told me I should to say " Dejame sola, no tengo dinero" mean "leave me alone, I do not have money."
People say Chile is very safe country, but we can see a lot of people are asking for money every place. Now I know how to handle this situation. When will be the opportunity to use my spanish? Soon or never....?

jaja pero igual decir "déjame sola, no tengo dinero" suena un tanto brusco :P mejor solo decir "no traigo dinero" y ya...
